It’s an interesting story. I was reading a story about Allen Iverson and some of the things he was doing. You know, he sold his house and on the floor was some old Timberland boots and stacks of money and I thought wow that’s tragic and how could that be. And I’m a psychotherapist by trade so I thought Chris, you know, take a step back and think about this. So, you know, you’ve got a guy who doesn’t come from the greatest upbringing or, you know, again my value proposition again on a great upbringing, and you add money and fame and fortune to that and we as society have an expectation that these guys are going to all of a sudden change and be what we think they should be and be upstanding citizens and act in a way that we think is appropriate, but the reality is again, you know, you’re putting a great deal of pressure on somebody and just adding money to it. And so I got curious about what do these leagues provide to players to help them in those transitions because the reality is these players, regardless of what league it is, the players are the team’s asset and the league’s assets. And so I thought how do they invest in their assets to ensure that they perform and that they’re well taken care of? So I looked on websites and all kinds of other stuff just purely for interest sake, and I found NFL player development and it looked to be one of the strongest player development programs. And so I cold called my current boss and sent him a bunch of my information about my background in consulting and as a therapist and I just wanted to sit down and have a conversation just out of pure interest, and surprisingly enough he returned my call. So we ultimately sat down for dinner and stayed in touch for a bout a year, year and a half and a position opened up and I was fortunate enough to get it.
