The number one thing that we run up against is people want to be involved in the NFL because simply it’s the NFL which I can certainly appreciate, but when you’re asking about, you know, getting into player development and you don’t necessarily know what player development does or what we do specifically and people are very scattered, it really impacts their chances of an opportunity certainly with our department, certain with other people in the league. And so I think it’s so critical that people be really clear, at least initially, about what they want to do. It may change, it may shift. I mean I’ve had several different jobs in different career areas, but I think you have to really know why you’re doing what you’re doing. You know I have had people literally say I love football and I’m a great football fan. I’d love to work with the NFL. Not knowing what they would want to do for or with the NFL, but just that they wanted to be here. And for me I’ve got 14,000 things to do a day and so when I hear that I’m really turned off and, you know, I’m on to the next person. And so as crisp and clear as people can be, again at lease initially, about what they want to do, it’s really going to help their chances. And so whether it’s marketing or accounting or player development. The other thing is, you know, very simple things like, you know, resumes. I can’t tell you how many resumes I get that have grammatical and other errors on them. Cover letters that have several errors in them and those initially I turn off because I’ve got a lot of people I could choose from and so somebody that’s not going to take the time and put the attention and detail behind their products, which themselves, that really makes me question what kind of work product am I going to get from this person. I look for a background in social sciences whether it’s, you know, social work, psychology, sociology or something else. They may be clinicians, they may not be clinicians. Education - - people who have background in education that’s almost something I look at. So, you know, there’s no cookie cutter for this because, you know, very few people in the world do what we do, and so it’s not like an account where I can say he works at Ernst & Young so therefore I’ll bring him over here. But social sciences is something I look at and education - - background in education as well.
