Mindopia: Web 2.0 Job / Work Insights from experts in the job website (read original review)
There are so many Job websites that are online right now and all of them are focusing on linking employers to employees. I recently came across a much more interesting website that is still Job focused but a different type. Mindopia is focused on giving insights, tips and tricks by using the web 2.0 element (User generated content). What's great about it...
... is that it features really great insight from those who are actually working on the job, with news, videos, facts and data to gain a better perspective. What's also great is that for people who are exploring their career paths, they could look for schools that this website recommends. The interface is full of useful facts and information that a researcher would find valuable and priceless. It's also equipped with a job board that allows companies to post available job positions in their companies.
I've found a companies section, where in, they seem to plan to feature companies here. However, because the website is still in Beta and quite new, it's still empty. I was also thinking that how about certain company secret technicalities that sharers could face (confidentiality contracts)? Wouldn't they violate some sort of rule in their contracts? Contents are also still limited right now and offers only a few insights, contributors might find it a hard time sharing their experiences and gathering more data in this website.
Overall, I still believe in what they're doing. In this period of recession, companies are going lean and employees are doing multitasks. Multitasking needs real passion in order for an employee to last. On the employees side, it's better to review what the job is before applying and know what their responsibilities, benefits and everything about the job are and what they need to learn. In this age in time, Job insights shouldn't just be shared in school or groups of people but to the whole world. Their monetization strategy also is very well integrated to their concept, featuring Pay-per-click advertisements and affiliate marketing. It's a great addition for more resources and earn money at the same time (adds value to user experience). I hope this website all the best, and it's got my full support.
